This letter is in recommendation of Pete Lynch and Lynch Flooring, a wonderful company that helped out my husband and I when we were interested in refinishing and installing hardwood flows. We hired Pete Lynch to refinish our existing hardware floors and add hardwood flooring to our downstairs hallway and bedrooms. Pete helped us make our renovation not only affordable but assisted us in the selection of wood color and wood grain. He and his team were very professional and helped to make sure that the new hardwood floors matched our existing hardwood, a process that showed his professional and helpful nature. In addition, he was able to raise the flooring of our hallway and make it flush with the existing floor. His refinishing of our existing hardwood floor not only brought back the beauty to the floor but really made our home look updated and fresh.

Our existing hardwood floor was a challenge to work with because it has beveling in it, due to being installed in the 1980s. Pete was able to locate hardwood floors that had similar beveling despite the fact that they stopped making that type of wood roughly 30 years ago. He stained the entry and exit panels in the hallway so that they matched our existing floors and expertly installed them to make sure that they would not compromise the structural integrity of our house.

Pete Lynch came several times during the installing and refinishing process, and we found him to be professional, show up on time and asking us for our availability, as well as letting us know the timeframe that it would take to finish the job. He was kind enough to work even when our dog was home and left our house cleaned up and neat each day. As a result of working with Pete, we were able to improve the resale value of our house while also helping to make our home look updated and modern.

Our Story

Three years ago, we renovated our house and made it handicapped accessible. During the renovation, Peter came in and removed all the hardwood flooring from a bedroom that we were converting into a large bathroom. After the renovation had been completed, he came back and used the saved hardwood to replace the floors in the hallway, the area that used to be the original bathroom and the new closets in the master bedroom. He then installed new hardwood flooring in the kitchen. At his suggestion, we decided to use wider boards going in the opposite direction of the other floors. It looked incredible. Peter also replaced the worn treads in the stair mantle and wooden sides. When all the work was completed, he sanded and refinished all the floors and woodwork in the house. When he left there wasn’t a bit of sawdust anywhere. We were completely satisfied with his work and his price. And again, I would recommend his work to anyone looking for a job well done at a honest price.
